Westminster Community Update

"Obi At Work" is a series where I roll up my sleeves and volunteer at local small businesses to learn their operations, discuss their challenges and share their unique stories to a wider audience. We have inspired many other local electeds to do the same in their respected communities, because along with their workers, these small businesses are some of the unsung heroes of our community.
Our latest stop was at Carrabba’s Italian Grill, locally owned by Parker Brown, a civically-active resident and member of the Westminster Chamber of Commerce.
I worked hard: I spent several hours working (literally) in many of the diverse roles that make a restaurant tick: busser clearing tables, server taking orders, host greeting new customers, groundskeeper sweeping the parking lot, table setter folding napkins (the proper way!), and I even had some time being a Prep Cook slicing bread. Each position taught me something valuable about the hard work and dedication it takes to run a restaurant, especially one that serves as a cornerstone in our community.
