Below is an email from our Westminster Fire Chief to City Council: “Mayor, Mayor Pro Tem, and City Councillors, There is a significant fire in Thornton near 84th and Huron. There are limited details at this time, as this is an active and rapidly growing incident. Reports indicate that the fire has involved multiple vehicles and structures, and Pinnacle High School and nearby businesses are being evacuated. Westminster Fire is on scene and assisting Thornton with fire suppression efforts.
With today’s Red Flag Warning, Westminster Fire increased staffing levels to provide for enhanced response capabilities. Westminster Fire resources are in Westminster and maintaining coverage for our community.“
