Ugly negative mailers lie about Obi Ezeadi
Dark cloud on democracy in Arvada and Westminster
Corrupt Lies vs. Community Truth: Where Do You Stand?
Swift Community Response to the Political Lies:
Lie #1: Obi voted against workers when he voted against the state Paid Leave Program for city employees.
Truth: It was the opposite. I'm actually the only one who voted to not opt Westminster out of FAMLI. Wendy explained this well in the quote above. Here are the Minutes if you're curious.
Fun fact: the dark money organization that is spreading this lie is anti-public education organization called "Better Schools for a Stronger Colorado". Look them up and then ask yourself: why are they working so hard against Obi in this election?
Lie #2: Obi voted against affordable housing.
Truth: I voted 'No' on a "Preliminary Development Plan" of one project in 2021 because the preliminary plan did not have enough affordable housing and it was a strategic move to ensure rigorous community input and high-quality development standards. Subsequently, I voted Yes on every single one of their four "Official Development Plans" which is the final and official approval of a development project.
Fun fact: I am the only candidate in this race endorsed by the housing organization YIMBY (Yes In My Backyard), because I am one of the state's strongest advocates for affordable housing.
What will they come up with next?
More importantly, I have an important question: What do you do when others attack you? Belittle you? "Other" you? Lie about you?
Asking for a friend.
If you support the lies, you can ignore this email.
But if you care about our democracy and the integrity of our elections, then please make a donation.
There will be more lies.
There will be more dark money from big corporations.
But we only have one democracy.
Please help us save it.
