4/25/24 Update: City Council Strategic Planning
Tennis Center, Housing and more
Newest Endorsements for State Senate from the past 48 hours:
Westminster Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 2889
Colorado WINS union (represent 26,000 state employees)
New Era Colorado Action Fund (the leading voice for young people in Colorado)
Support from these organizations signify deep community roots, not politics. They work with us, for us, championing real change over political rhetoric.
Update: City Council Strategic Planning
April 11: I published my personal list of 40 strategic priorities based on year-long conversations with working families, recognizing your voices and needs to advance Westminster as a vibrant community where every resident has a stable, healthy, and prosperous future. My priorities span all the way from co-developing a Homeless Navigation Center with Arvada to enhancing our poor cellular service. I grouped my thoughts into 5 key areas:
Housing people can afford (e.g. senior affordable housing, townhomes/condos, tiny homes, and more)
Lower cost of living for working and retired families (e.g. water cost relief, food security, childcare, and more)
Community Health, Recreation and Wellness (e.g. new Tennis center, expanding co-responder program, and more)
Community Revitalization & Infrastructure (e.g. water conservation, preserving off-leash dog park, prioritizing Historic Westminster in our decision-making, and more)
Community Empowered (e.g. implementing strict 8-year term limits for City Council, designing wards, and more)
April 13: City Council held Strategic Planning retreat at City Hall
Results: The strategic plan, incorporating many of my key priorities, will be available soon following council approval. I will soon share drafts of the Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Guiding Principles, and Strategic Priorities. Stay tuned!

Obi’s Community Resources Master List

Hopefully all of you can see the difference right in front of you. He deserves a great people person award.
Obi has been helping me as one of in my opinion the BEST person who actually finds and dealt with how to start out my need for help. Obi actually helped with our Need for a Tennis Facility in Westminster.
We are still moving forward with his original suggestions in order for us to gain ground on the effects of our need.. We are still looking to obtain a very well deserved Tennis Facility in Westminster and this was specifically a great help and support from him alone in the beginning.
When you contact him he moves mountains. He is truly a person to become a Westminster and Arvada spokesperson.
Gary Bland.. My friendship with him has grown into a respectful and honorable time of my life.
